Bradford, on our doorstep, was designated the world’s first, and only, UNESCO City of Film last year. It was awarded City of Film status because of its fabulous film heritage, world-class festivals, stunning locations and film's national museum at its heart. Galleries in Bradford include: Impressions Gallery, Bradford 1, South Square Centre, and Cartwright Hall Art Gallery.

Just around the corner is Haworth country, home of the Bronte sisters. You could visit the beautifully preserved Bronte Parsonage Museum where the sisters lived or take a walk on the wild moorland that was such an inspiration to them.

The southern tip of the Yorkshire Dales National Park is not much more than half an hour away by car, with the famous spa town of Harrogate a similar distance.

The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, down towards Wakefield, about 40 minutes away, is a constantly inspiring place to visit. It is set over 500 acres of historic landscape, which are used for the display of over 60 sculptures and projects, as well as four distinct indoor galleries.
