| Shops and Galleries
Saltaire is home to a wide variety of shops and galleries in which you can view beautiful artworks and wonderful craft pieces. On Victoria Road you will find Magic Number Three, Massarella Fine Art, The House of Rose and Brown, ArtParade, Shimu and Dot Jewellery. Even more can be found in Salts Mill with the1853 Gallery (1 and 2), Kath Libbert Jewellery and Carlton Fine Arts and Antiques. Salts Mill houses the largest permanent collection of artworks by the Bradfordian artist David Hockney, including drawings and paintings from the 1950’s to the present day alongside his unique opera sets, graphic, photographic and faxed pieces. Of particular interest are his bold, colourful paintings and drawings of Salts Mill and views of Saltaire. If you need to take the weight off your feet during the Arts Trail then why not soak up some of the Saltaire atmosphere with a thirst quenching drink and some tasty treats in any one of our many fine cafés, restaurants and bars. |
