| Welcome to the Children's Mini Trail 2008
This year heralds the first ever Children’s Mini Trail, a trail specifically designed for young people, encouraging them to experience, enjoy and take part in the arts. It takes place over the two weekends of the festival and includes a host of lovely activities, workshops, exhibitions and exciting events. You might want to start at the Children’s Open House, an interactive house dedicated to tactile, child friendly art. Meander along the trail and you will encounter a Garden of Easels where children can take part in painting and create little works of art. Wander a little further and discover the I-Spy Art Area. Here you'll find the Knitted River where, amongst other things, participants will learn to knit with giant knitting needles. Visit the Mini Trail stand at the I-Spy Art Area and pick up an I-Spy Art activity card to start your artistic mini adventure. Those who manage to complete the card win an exclusive Mini Trail prize! |
