| Welcome to Saltaire Arts Trail 2008
Following last year’s huge success the Arts Trail is back for 2008, bigger and better, and with a sprinkling of new events to inspire and delight. The Open Houses are back with more residents opening their doors to the public and more artists displaying their work in these unique environments. The popular Open Exhibition will feature artwork themed around Planet Earth to coincide with the UNESCO International Year of Planet Earth Project. Our long running Makers’ Fair will this year be on the first weekend (13th/14th September) of the festival and will be full to the brim with wonderful, handmade craft pieces from around the Yorkshire region. New for the Arts Trail 2008 is the addition of a Children’s Mini Trail featuring the Garden of Easels, the Knitted River workshop, a Children’s Open House, sculpture and workshops.
Meander through the streets, soak up the atmosphere, peruse our galleries, exhibitions and shops, relax in our cafés, bars and restaurants — but most of all, enjoy. |
