Sharon Snaylam
I have walked in the Yorkshire landscape regularly since moving to Bradford in 1987. I love the experience of walking through a sometimes challenging landscape, following a designated path. I take photographs to record my walks so that I can recall particular moments in time. I have also walked on pathways in the Lake District, Scotland, Italy, and France. I use ceramics, photographs and mixed media to develop my ideas thoughts and feelings about my journeys.
My most recent work is an attempt to explore the memories of my experiences in the landscape, & relate these to my personal experiences and events.
The path continues to represent my life and my personal journey which varies from different perspectives, distances and viewpoints.
