David Booth
David has lived in Dewsbury for the last 20 years and whilst he has not received any formal training, he has sketched for many years and painted for around four years.
David has a full time job as a Cartographer working for a government agency. His influences include Post-Impressionism, early 20th century Russian graphic designers and stained glass art.
"The English landscape (both urban and rural) has also been quite a large influence for me. I particularly like the interaction of the colours and the juxtaposition of the shapes that form the landscape and the fact that when combined with the weather the landscape can be as unique as the date and time you viewed it." |
