Welcome to Saltaire Arts Trail!  Join us on 5-7 May 2012 for a packed weekend of contemporary art and craft, creative family activities and artists film. We will have all of our renowned favourites including the Open Houses and Makers Fair plus new exhibitions and some inspiring surprises.

  Opening your House

  We are now looking for houses in Saltaire to participate in the May 2012 event.  This is a unique opportunity to have your walls adorned with beautiful paintings and photography while handcrafted tableware, textiles and ceramics grace the surfaces of your kitchen, living room or stairs.  We provide each house with artists and makers and someone to show you the ropes, as well as £75.  If you’re interested, please contact us.

  Call for applications

  Applications are now open for artists and makers wishing to take part in the 2012 event.  For full details of the application process and how to apply, click on the link below.  This year we’re also pleased to announce the Best in Yorkshire Award in association with Shipley College.

  Volunteering

  Saltaire Arts Trail is organised and delivered by an almost entirely volunteer workforce. We are always looking for new people to join our team. If you would like to get involved there are lots of ways you can contribute.

With support from Arts Council England through the National Lottery and working in partnership with Bradford's creative development agency Fabric we wish to commission an artist or arts group to create a new piece of wok to be presented during Saltaire Ats Trail 2012.

Saltaire Arts Trail is awarded £10,000 from the National Lottery through the Arts Council England.
